NFL Week 8 Overreactions
Mackenzie Salmon breaks down the wildest games from Week 8.
Sports Seriously
After the Chicago Bears (4-3) were stunned on a Hail Mary, they’ll try to re-group against a suddenly hot Arizona Cardinals (4-4).
The Bears could only hope to be 5-2 thanks to a what was going to be a win that was tipped into the hands of Noah Brown of the Washington Commanders. It’s a tough loss and Chicago remains winless on the road, but it has another chance to get a victory away from home.
Who would’ve thought after eight weeks, the Cardinals would be in first place in the NFC West? It’s crowded, but Arizona has won two straight to take hold of the top spot. A game-winning field goal against the Miami Dolphins has Kyler Murray and company feeling good and can get over .500 for the first time this season.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Jets vs. Texans | Falcons vs. Cowboys | Ravens vs. Broncos | Bills vs. Dolphins | Panthers vs. Saints | Bengals vs. Raiders | Browns vs. Chargers | Giants vs. Commanders | Titans vs. Patriots | Cardinals vs. Bears | Eagles vs. Jaguars | Packers vs. Lions | Seahawks vs. Rams | Vikings vs. Colts | Chiefs vs. Buccaneers
Arizona has been one of the teams that has shown moderate improvement from last season, and Kyler Murray is having a standout season. I think Jonathan Gannon will come up with ways to confuse Caleb Williams, who still hasn’t been able to put up big numbers with consistency.
Arizona is on a two-game winning streak with quality wins against the Chargers and Dolphins. The Bears are coming off a stunning loss to the Commanders. How will the Bears bounce back after a heartbreaking loss? The Cardinals won’t make it easy on them.
Caleb Williams’ performance last week wasn’t the best. I expect him and the Bears’ offense to bounce back in a big way in Arizona.
Arizona has played great recently and Kyler Murray is looking like a true franchise quarterback. Chicago let a win slip through its hands last time, but it responds with a strong defensive effort.
