NFL Week 8 picks and predictions: Why you should consider Ravens and Packers on Sunday
Lorenzo Reyes is back with his best bets for NFL Week 8 games.
After an unfortunate defeat at the hands of the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, the Los Angeles Chargers will look to bounce back against a team that has faced serious struggles as of late, the New Orleans Saints.
Of course, most of those struggles can be traced back to the absence of starting quarterback Derek Carr. However, injuries have also derailed the receiving corps with both Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed missing time. After starting the season as one of the hottest teams in the league, the Saints have lost five straight and sit at third-place in the NFC South.
Which team will be able to overcome their recent misfortune? Here are our experts’ predictions for this Week 8 showdown.

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Rams vs. Vikings | Browns vs. Ravens | Lions vs. Titans | Texans vs. Colts | Jaguars vs. Packers | Dolphins vs. Cardinals | Patriots vs. Jets | Buccaneers vs. Falcons | Bengals vs. Eagles | Chargers vs. Saints | Seahawks vs. Bills | Commanders vs. Bears | Broncos vs. Panthers | Raiders vs. Chiefs | 49ers vs. Cowboys | Steelers vs. Giants
Both teams are banged up, and both may struggle to move the ball. Frankly, with so many other games on the slate with obvious outcomes at seven points or so, I would not touch this game. Put any play on this game on the Ravens or the Lions.
The Chargers desperately need some help at wide receiver. That was apparent in Week 7. But Justin Herbert and the Chargers will produce enough offense to get a much-needed win against a Saints team starting Spencer Rattler at QB.
The Chargers need to get back in the win column, and a matchup against a reeling Saints team comes at a perfect juncture.
The Saints offense has been a mess, something a defensively strong team like the Chargers will love to see. Scoring is low, but Justin Herbert finally gets in the endzone after he was shut out last week.
