Saints vs. Broncos live updates: Predictions, TV info, ‘Thursday Night Football’ Week 7

October 17, 2024

play

The New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos will meet on a quick turnaround on “Thursday Night Football” to begin Week 7.

Both teams are coming off divisional losses and are eager to return to the win column. The Saints (2-4) are coming off another rough loss, this time to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Saints allowed 51 points to the Buccaneers, and Spencer Rattler made his first career NFL start in place of injured Derek Carr.

The Saints rookie quarterback has his hands full against the Broncos defense, which ranks fourth in yards per game allowed. However, Denver will be without star cornerback Patrick Surtain II, who suffered a concussion on the first defensive snap in Denver’s Week 6 loss. New Orleans has lost four in a row after opening the season with two blowout wins.

Denver’s offense has been inconsistent with rookie quarterback Bo Nix. They have been held scoreless in the first half of three of its six matchups this season. Head coach Sean Payton will be on the opposing sideline for the first time against the Saints after coaching New Orleans for 15 seasons.
