NFL Overreactions Week 4
Mackenzie Salmon breaks down some of the biggest games from NFL week 4.
Sports Seriously
Through four weeks, the only winless team in the NFL is the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite the emergence of first-round receiver Brian Thomas Jr., the Jaguars have failed to earn a single victory. They came close in Week 4, nearly upsetting the Houston Texans, but after a late touchdown sealed it for Houston, the Jaguars left NRG Stadium dejected.
The Indianapolis Colts have had the opposite issue. After an 0-2 start, Indianapolis has won two consecutive games, including a victory over the previously undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers. After starting quarterback Anthony Richardson left the game with a hip injury, backup Joe Flacco stepped in and arguably elevated the passing attack to help Indy secure its second win. He was a tremendous breath of fresh air for Cleveland a year ago. Can he recapture some of that magic for the Colts in 2024 should Richardson be unable to play on Sunday?

FEELING LUCKY? Here are the best parlay bets and odds for NFL games this week
Falcons vs. Buccaneers | Vikings vs. Jets | Bears vs. Panthers | Bengals vs. Ravens | Texans vs. Bills | Jaguars vs. Colts | Patriots vs. Dolphins | Commanders vs. Browns | Broncos vs. Raiders | 49ers vs. Cardinals | Rams vs. Packers | Seahawks vs. Giants | Steelers vs. Cowboys | Chiefs vs. Saints
You should wait until later in the week to get clarity on the Colts’ quarterback situation. Either way, I actually think Joe Flacco can be a stabilizing presence for Indy. The Jaguars, meanwhile, can wear their throwback uniforms all they want, this team has massive holes and Trevor Lawrence’s confidence appears to be shaky.
Jaguars coach Doug Pederson took a veiled shot at his players after the team’s 0-4 start. Will Pederson’s words motivate the team or lose the locker room? The coach is on the hot seat. But I think Jacksonville finally gets a win this week at home.
The record is bad, but Jacksonville has had a tough schedule to start the season. The Jaguars finally put it together to get a victory.
