Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 4 game

After a stellar two weeks to start the season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were smacked with a dose of reality after getting knocked in the teeth by Bo Nix and the Denver Broncos. The Bucs looked like one of the league’s most potent offenses, but Pat Surtain was able to lock down Mike Evans as Denver earned their first win of the season. Now, they’ll look to bounce back against a Philadelphia Eagles‘ defense that struggled mightily against the run through two weeks before holding the New Orleans SaintsAlvin Kamara to under __ yards on the ground in Week 3.

Philadelphia struggled with ball security in Week 3, so despite outgaining New Orleans massively, they found themselves in an unnecessarily close contest due to their turnovers and penalties. The Eagles are normally one of the more disciplined teams in the NFL, and their performance from Week 3 is unlikely to be replicated, especially against a Tampa Bay defense that just made Denver look like Houston.

Lorenzo Reyes: Eagles 20, Buccaneers 16

Each of Philadelphia’s games this season has been decided by five points or fewer, so there’s no reason to expect that this one, against a tough Todd Bowles defense, will be any different. The question with Tampa, however, is which version we will see. One of the more frustratingly inconsistent teams to back, the Buccaneers were embarrassed at home by the Broncos. I could see them winning this game. But I just don’t trust them enough to do so.

Tyler Dragon: Eagles 26, Buccaneers 20

The Eagles’ Week 3 victory over New Orleans wasn’t pretty but a win is a win. Saquon Barkley leads the NFL with 351 rushing yards and his four rushing TDs are tied for a league high. Philadelphia must continue to play through Barkley, especially without A.J. Brown. The Bucs regressed last week in a head-scratching loss to Denver.

Richard Morin: Buccaneers 28, Eagles 23

Tampa Bay makes a goal-line stand at the end, thwarting a tush push to get the win. The Eagles are soul-searching.

Jordan Mendoza: Buccaneers 26, Eagles 24

Tampa Bay has to turn it around after that embarrassing performance against Denver. Saquon Barkley has another solid game that gets spoiled by Jalen Hurts.
