Sam Darnold’s MVP run continues, Ravens save season with win in Dallas
Sports Seriously’s Mackenzie Salmon ‘overreacts’ to the biggest news from Sunday’s slate of games.

Quarterbacks taken first overall in an NFL Draft will faceoff Sunday with Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears (1-2) hosting Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams (1-2).
Despite all of the injuries, the Rams overcame an uphill battle by defeating in-state rival San Francisco 49ers in a stunner. The season was looking like it was already over, but Los Angeles suddenly has renewed faith as it waits for its stars to get healthy.
The offense is starting to show progress in Chicago but it’s not entirely there yet. The Bears were unable to take advantage of a suspect Colts defense and dropped its second-straight game. The hype was high in Chicago, can the Bears keep it up when they return home?

Giants vs. Cowboys | Falcons vs. Saints | Panthers vs. Bengals | Bears vs. Rams | Packers vs. Vikings | Texans vs. Jaguars | Colts vs. Steelers | Jets vs. Broncos | Buccaneers vs. Eagles | Cardinals vs. Commanders | 49ers vs. Patriots | Chargers vs. Chiefs | Raiders vs. Browns | Ravens vs. Bills | Dolphins vs. Titans | Lions vs. Seahawks
It’s hard to see the Rams sustaining this kind of play, given all their injuries. But a ton of credit has to go to Sean McVay for getting his squad to gut out a victory against the 49ers. Still, the Bears are an enigma, and their offensive line issues are a real concern that are impeding Chicago’s offense from unlocking its potential. I do think there are better plays out there, but I like L.A. to win outright.
The Rams are coming off a comeback win over the 49ers. It was a type of win that can provide momentum going forward. Chicago is still trying to find itself offensively as QB Caleb Williams goes through proverbial rookie growing pains. Sean McVay and the injury-riddled Rams will find a way to win behind another strong performance from Matthew Stafford, Kyren Williams and Byron Young on defense.
I like the under. Chicago is piling up yards but finding it difficult to pay it off in the end zone. Keenan Allen could certainly help with that, but it remains to be seen whether he’ll suit up for this one. Still, I think the Bears get it done.
Chicago’s defense should overpower Los Angeles given it’s missing so much, yet the Rams found a way last week. The Bears couldn’t really stop Jonathan Taylor and they are unable to slow down Kyren Williams, who powers Los Angeles to a hard-fought victory.
