Where to Watch/Listen: Horse Racing Coverage Sept. 19-22

September 16, 2024

High-level Thoroughbred racing continues at tracks across North America this week, with special focus on a huge card Saturday, Sept. 21 at Parx Racing in Bensalem, Pa., highlighted by the Pennsylvania Derby and Cotillion Stakes. These are the two final Grade 1 races of the year for 3-year-olds on dirt and often send top finishers to compete against their fellow sophomores and older horses in the Breeders’ Cup. Superstar filly Thorpedo Anna headlines the Cotillion, while Dragoon Guard leads a competitive group in the Pennsylvania Derby.

All of the action from the Saturday card at Parx will air on FanDuel TV, as will the only “Win and You’re In” Breeders’ Cup race this week, the Sept. 21 Princess Rooney Invitational Stakes from Gulfstream Park, a qualifier for the PNC Bank Filly & Mare Sprint. FanDuel TV will also show races from tracks such as Churchill Downs and Woodbine as part of their comprehensive coverage.

NYRA’s “America’s Day at the Races” presents live racing from Belmont at the Big A (Aqueduct) during a four-day run from Thursday, Sept. 19, to Sunday, Sept. 22. The show will air on FS2 – check the below schedule for times. Fox Sports will also broadcast the Caesar’s Trotting Classic featuring Standardbred racing Friday, Sept. 20, from Hoosier Park, airing on FS1.

Horse racing from tracks around the world is available to subscribers on Racetrack Television Network (RTN), which can be livestreamed on all devices (computer, tablet and smartphone) and on TV via DISH Network, Amazon Fire and Roku.
