NFL Week 2 picks, predictions and best bets
USA TODAY Sports’ Lorenzo Reyes is back with his NFL best bets for week 2 games of the NFL season.
The NFL has a packed Sunday schedule for Week 2, with 14 games (including two key NFC divisional clashes) on deck.
Weather-wise, multiple games may be impacted on some level by the remnants of Hurricane Francine, while a few contests in hot or muggy locations will benefit from being played indoors. That includes games hosted by the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Minnesota Vikings.
The conditions in Maryland should be friendly enough as both the Baltimore Ravens and Washington Commanders host games, while the forecast awaiting for the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets is a real toss-up.
Here is a rundown of the expected weather on Sunday’s Week 2 games.

Las Vegas Raiders at Baltimore Ravens, 1 p.m. on CBS
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens will host Las Vegas at M&T Bank Stadium, and the weather is looking pleasant. The forecast calls for partly cloudy, breezy conditions with a projected high of 84 degrees.
Los Angeles Chargers at Carolina Panthers, 1 p.m. on CBS
Bank of America Stadium won’t see much sunshine, with a slight chance of showers present for Sunday’s game. The expected high is 79 degrees, with 10-20mph winds expected throughout.
New Orleans Saints at Dallas Cowboys, 1 p.m. on Fox
It’s going to be a hot one at AT&T Stadium, with highs expected in the upper 90s in mostly sunny conditions as the Saints visit the Cowboys. Thankfully, this game is taking place indoors.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Detroit Lions, 1 p.m. on Fox
Not that the weather ever has much impact given that Ford Field is an indoor stadium, but it looks like the Motor City will see sunny conditions and a game-time temperature in the mid-80s.
Indianapolis Colts at Green Bay Packers, 1 p.m. on Fox
The Colts and Packers will likely kick off in cloudy conditions at Lambeau Field, with the sun possibly breaking through in the second half. Expect a high of 85 on a humid day, with a small chance of a shower developing as well.
Cleveland Browns at Jacksonville Jaguars, 1 p.m. on CBS
Two teams that lost in Week 1 will likely be fighting for their first wins of the season in the remnants of Hurricane Francine. That means tropical conditions for this game: highs in the low 80s, a 70% chance of rain, and the possibility of a thunderstorm.
San Francisco 49ers at Minnesota Vikings, 1 p.m. on CBS
Christian McCaffrey’s status may still be up in the air, but the 49ers won’t have to worry about the weather in deciding whether the star running back suits up after missing Week 1’s win. Minneapolis is set to see muggy conditions in the mid-80s on Sunday, but this game will be played indoors at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Seattle Seahawks at New England Patriots, 1 p.m. on Fox
Gillette Stadium should see sunny conditions, with temperatures hovering around 80 as the Patriots look to build on Week 1’s big upset win. Winds, if there are any, should stay below 10mph.
New York Jets at Tennessee Titans, 1 p.m. on CBS
Aaron Rodgers and the Jets will find very uncertain weather awaiting them in Nashville, again due to Francine’s slow drift across the South. Current projections say temperatures will be in the low 80s at kickoff, with rain showers a 50/50 prospect throughout.
New York Giants at Washington Commanders, 1 p.m. on Fox
Northwest Stadium will see partly cloudy conditions for this NFC East battle, with temperatures in the low 80s and typical mid-Atlantic humidity in place. Forecasters expect 10-15mph winds for Sunday afternoon, with a remote chance of showers.
Los Angeles Rams at Arizona Cardinals, 4:05 p.m. on Fox
University of Phoenix Stadium has a retractable roof, and the mild threat of showers may see this game played indoors. That might help, because Sunday’s expected high is 97 degrees. At least the greater Phoenix region may finally end what as of Thursday is a 108-day run of triple-digit temperatures.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos, 4:25 p.m. on CBS
The Broncos will look to pick up their first win in agreeable late summer conditions. The forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-to-upper 80s, with low humidity and nearly no chance of showers.
Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs, 4:25 p.m. on CBS
Fans at Arrowhead Stadium should expect breezy conditions as the Bengals come to town. Look for temperatures in the mid-80s and 10-15mph winds throughout Sunday afternoon’s game.
Chicago Bears at Houston Texans, 1 p.m. on NBC & Universo
It’s expected to be a typically hot day in Houston, which should give away to a humid night. However, NRG Stadium’s air conditioning should make conditions comfortable as CJ Stroud and co. look to start the season 2-0.
How to watch the NFL this season
The NFL will be shown on multiple networks over the course of the season. “Thursday Night Football,” along with a game on Black Friday, will air on Prime Video (Week 1’s game streamed on Peacock and aired on NBC). “Sunday Night Football” will show throughout the season on NBC and Peacock, while “Monday Night Football” will air on ESPN and stream on ESPN+. CBS games all season long can be streamed on Paramount+, while games on Fox can be streamed on Fubo.
