World number one Scottie Scheffler of the USA leads the charge, followed by Ireland’s Rory McIlroy and defending Olympic champion Xander Schauffele in third. Wyndham Clark and Collin Morikawa round off a strong lineup for the US, who have all of their qualified golfers within the top seven and are the only nation eligible for the maximum number of players.

Sweden’s Ludvig Åberg qualifies with his highest ranking of fourth, and he is joined by fellow Scandinavian Viktor Hovland of Norway in sixth. The top 10 is rounded off by formers Masters champions Jon Rahm of Spain and Japan’s Matsuyuma Hideki, and Great Britain’s top-ranked golfer Tommy Fleetwood.

There are some notable absentees from the qualified athletes, such as Rio 2016 Olympic champion Justin Rose of Great Britain. Also missing out at Paris 2024 are two-time US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau and US golfing icon Tiger Woods.
